Meet Michael J. Reisel
|
Adaptive by nature, Michael started Redwood Financial Strategies as an evolution of the financial advisor experience. It’s unlikely his clients have had a financial relationship like this one ever before.
Michael was inspired by the overall lack of financial stability and stress it can cause people. He knew there was a better way. Most people have not been educated on finances correctly because it’s not part of the education system. Michael believes there can be clarity in understanding one’s finances by working with an advisor who has teaching and management experience that can provide confidence to the client.
When he sees the mental and physical changes in his clients when their finances are not keeping them up at night, he thrives on witnessing them truly live. His ability to give back to others is one of the most rewarding feelings, and the more people he can get to a position to have that feeling, the better the overall community will become.
When it comes to work, Michael enjoys the problem solving aspect of this industry and seeing the impact it makes on his clients’ well-being. It’s not work—it’s a passion. His moral code keeps him focused on always doing what’s right for the client because money comes and goes, but if a relationship is destroyed by not doing what’s best for others, that may never come back. His drive comes from always wanting to be better and always improving upon his treasured client relationships.
Thoughtful and committed, Michael considers himself an educator, manager and one who holds 10+ years of business experience in multiple financial areas outside of investments. He gets the most satisfaction from successful results and the bonded client relationships. When a client hires him to improve their financial situation, results in doing that are a top priority. When that occurs, it's extremely rewarding to him to reflect back and see the gains his client has made financially and personally.
Michael’s clients know he is committed to them because of the limited number of Redwood Financial Strategies memberships, which allows him to focus on only them, without fear of ever losing him as their advisor. Michael listens, reviews, suggests and acts. There is no pushing of products. He acts as a client’s personal financial concierge, and he wouldn’t have it any other way. His two hopes for them? Happiness and gratitude. He wants them to believe in his dedication to them by having them commit their finances to him so they can experience their financial goals.
To best serve his clients, Michael earned his bachelor’s in education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, is Advanced Silver Sandler Certified and holds his Series 6, 63, 65, 7 and 24 securities licenses.
Outside of the office, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, Mindy, their two children, Hayden and Cole and their two dogs, Molly and Cooper. They like exploring the great outdoors hiking, hunting and being out on the water while appreciating the fresh air. Traveling is also a big part of the Reisel routine because they want to see as much of this great planet as possible.
